In my novel-in-progress, the protagonist unravels her father's history, from his youth in Johannesburg as part of the Indian diaspora to adulthood as a physicist and and in his later years as a teacher and aging parent. 

I taught in the Undergraduate Writing program at Columbia University. I regularly participate in teaching development workshops.

I grew up in the UK and Norway and I received a BA from Dartmouth College. I received an MFA from Columbia University in Writing (Fiction). I was awarded a Dean's Travel Grant.
